Helwan University offers and facilitate a lot of activities inside the university campus; these activities include sport activities, artistic activities, culture activities, student unions, student families, camps, social activities, solidarity fund and leaders training. |

Sport Activities |
| |
The Sector of Sport Activity offers services for the students of the university -according to their desires- through the following programs:

Artistic Activities |
| |
Artistic competitions, festivals and exhibitions are held in the fields of: plastic art, design and poster, music and singing, family arts, entertainment show, and performance. There are competitions held among the faculties. Plus, there is The National Competition for Plastic Arts, and The University Students Meeting for Dramatic Arts. Finally, throughout the academic year - in the Cinema Club - movie shows, and related seminars are held and attended by stars and personnel of movies.
The artistic activities are held in the following artistic centers:

Cultural Competitions and Seminars:

Student Unions |
| |
Student unions enroll regular students admitted to the faculties. Affiliated and foreign students who pay the union fees can participate in the activities of the union, not in the elections and nomination.

Student Families |
| |
Student families aim at strengthening the relations among members of the academic families whether students, staff members or personnel. The student families organize several competitions such as the ideal male and female students of the families. Moreover, they organize several trips to new communities and touristic sites. In addition to this, meetings and competitions are held among the families of the Egyptian universities. |

Camps |
| |
The Administration of Youth Welfare organizes camps for the students. The camps are divided into Work Camps, Cultural Camps and Leadership Training Camps.

Scouts and Public Services |
| |
Scouts and public services include competitions, festivals, meetings and training sessions in order to develop the leading potentials of the students. Moreover, the scouts and public services include Arab and world meetings of scouts in different Arab countries, plus the participation in The Youth Week of the Egyptian universities.

Social Activities |
| |
Social activities include competitions such as the ideal student, competitions of chess, national competition for social research, other social competitions, plus the competitions of The General Authority for Promoting Tourism. Adding to this, the social activities include cultural and entertaining trips, the national project for blood donation, and training sessions in the fields of first aids, addiction control, and environmental preservation.

Solidarity Fund |
| |
The Solidarity Fund aims at providing social insurance for students, and solving their social and financial problems.

Leaders Training Sector |
| |
The strategy of the Leaders Training Sector is concerned with the personnel’s skills development in order to face the changes of society and youths’ needs.
A library of religious, cultural, social, sport and artistic books was established for the personnel to provide them with the necessary data and skills required in implementing the youth welfare programs.
Through the Leaders Training Sector, cooperation agreements are put into effect between The Ministry of Youths and several Arab and foreign countries. Plus, youths’ visits are exchanged among different countries.
