Prospective students can apply either at Helwan University or in Catania University. However, courses for the first three semesters will be held at Helwan University in Cairo for all students. The fourth semester, which is dedicated to the Master Thesis project, can be spent either in Italy or Egypt. All students that complete all the required 120 credits including the thesis project will receive a joint title degree awarded jointly by Helwan University and by Cairo University.
The fees are as follows:
- For enrollment at Helwan University:
Egyptian students will pay 2,000 Euro per year for two years, for a total of 4,000 Euro.Non-Egyptian students will pay 2,000 Euro per year and an additional tax of approximately 1,500 GBP (British sterling pounds) per year according to the Egyptian University Law for Foreign Students.
For enrollment at Catania University:All students will pay 2,500 Euro per year for two years, for a total of 5,000 Euro.

The fees mentioned above do not include expenses related to visa (for entry in Egypt), medical insurance and accommodation in Cairo.
Non-Egyptian Nationals selected for the Master Program will have to obtain security clearance by the relevant Egyptian authorities. Payment of enrollment fees will be requested after the security clearance has been obtained.
Maximum 30 students will be admitted for the first year. The course will not start if less than 20 students have applied for the Master Program before September 20th.
Eligibility Criteria:
To apply, prospective applicants must possess a University Bachelor Degree in any field (including Fine and Applied Arts, Science and Engineering, Archeology, Social Sciences, Literature, and Linguistics). They must also have a demonstrated ability to understand and speak English, as all courses will be taught in English.

Selection criteria:
If more than 30 eligible students apply for the Master Program, students will be selected by the following criteria:

field of study and its relevance to the topic of the Master Program;

higher education degree (BSc essential, higher degrees will be valued in the selection procedure); individual courses’ and final grades;

experience (also non-academic) relevant to the topic of the Master Program;
-
publications related to the subject of the Master Program;

student’s motivation letter (in English);
-
letters of recommendation (maximum two);
-
interview in English (can be done remotely for non-Egyptian applicants).

November 25th: online applications closes. Request for financial support must be submitted before this date. Short-listed applicants will be notified and invited for an interview. Non-Egyptian applicants may be interviewed via Skype. Please note the deadline has been extended to November 30th at midnight.
September 5th: selection of the pre-registered students for admission and financial support.
September 15th: Deadline for the payment of the registration fees. Payment of the due fees will be in two installments. Only payment of the first installment will be requested by September 15th. Payment of the second installment will be required by Jan. 15th.
