    Preparing programs for sports, cultural and scientific activities

About the Education and Student Council

The Education and Student Affairs Council is formed under the chairmanship of the Vice President of University Affairs for Bachelor’s or Bachelor’s Degree Studies and Student Affairs, with membership:

Representatives of colleges and institutes affiliated with the university for study affairs at the bachelor’s or bachelor’s level and student affairs.
A number of members, not less than three and not more than five, with experience in university affairs and public affairs, shall be appointed for a period of two years, subject to renewal, by decision of the University President after taking the opinion of the Education and Student Affairs Council and the approval of the University Council. It is not permissible for them to combine this membership with membership in the University Council. concerned.

The most important work carried out by the Education and Students Council:

  • Study and prepare the general policy for study and education at the bachelor’s or bachelor’s degree levels at the university and organize it, and coordinate between the university’s faculties and institutes in this regard.
    Drawing up a policy to achieve cooperation and coordination between similar departments and subjects in the university’s colleges and institutes with regard to study at the bachelor’s or bachelor’s degree.
    Preparing a policy to encourage study in some departments at the bachelor’s or bachelor’s degree levels.
    Preparing a policy to facilitate bachelor’s or bachelor’s degree students’ access to university books and notes and to encourage writing in some subjects for this stage.
    Expressing an opinion on setting the executive regulations for universities regarding study and education affairs at the bachelor’s or bachelor’s level, and student affairs.
    Organizing the admission of students to the bachelor’s or bachelor’s degree levels and determining their numbers.
  • Preparing the general system for lessons, lectures, practical exercises, and examination work at the bachelor’s or bachelor’s degree levels.
    Organizing student services affairs at the university.
    Organizing cultural, sporting and social activities for students at the university.
    Follow up on the implementation of the education plan at the bachelor’s or bachelor’s degree levels and the student affairs plan at the university.
    Count and analyze all data and statistics related to education at the bachelor’s or bachelor’s degree levels and to students at the university.
    Discussing the reports of colleges and institutes, the recommendations of their scientific conferences, the reports of the scientific departments at the university, and the annual report of the Vice President of the University for study affairs at the bachelor’s or licentiate level, student affairs at the university, and evaluating the study and examination systems at this stage, student services systems, and various student affairs, and reviewing them to ensure their advancement.

Places of sports and entertainment activities

Helwan University has many sports fields that help students practice sports. Some of these fields have been established in the colleges of physical education for boys and girls. The College of Physical Education for Boys has a football field in addition to an athletics track equipped with night lighting that allows these activities to be practiced at night.
