The Social Treatment Centre of the Faculty of Social Service is considered to be one of the branches of the University ' s Community Service Centre, a unit of a special nature with financial, technical and administrative independence in accordance with the provisions of the resources of the implementing regulations of the University Act No. 49 of 1972 promulgated by the President of the Republic.
1.Assistance in solving behavioural, psychological, social, family and school problems for university students and university staff by providing counselling and treatment sessions in return for nominal wages.
2.Provision of counselling and treatment sessions for nominal wages to help solve social, psychological and family problems for members of the surrounding or national society in general.
3. Field training for college and college students to transfer vocational experience and skills for the Centre ' s objectives.
4.Provide programmes to develop the skills of researchers and supervisors of institutions, colleges and institutes in working with individuals, families and groups and implement professional intervention programmes in their field of specialization in exchange for competitive financial remuneration.
5.Providing research and office services that help to accurately identify the problems of university students and the problems of society and to test professional intervention programmes and models in dealing with them in exchange for nominal wages.
6.Provision of technical advice on the Centre ' s specialization to community practitioners and institutions to improve the professional practice of social service with individuals, families and groups.
7.Organization of workshops, panel discussions, training courses and conferences for competitive or service remuneration to develop intervention skills built with individuals and practitioners in various areas of community practice.
8.Cooperation with local, regional and international social bodies and institutions through memorandums of understanding to benefit from their programmes related to the Centre ' s objectives, on a competitive financial basis that contributes to increasing the Centre ' s and the University ' s resources
9.Provision of preventive services to students aimed at preventing serious social problems, such as addiction and other problems associated with the age level of this group, through seminars at appropriate material cost to the student or distribution of brochures and leaflets to the student
10.In- and out-of-university training courses for social workers dealing with various social and psychological problems in various fields of practice, such as training in the application of certain vocational intervention programmes
11.Undertake studies and research that are concerned with identifying the causes of contemporary problems in society and that hinder the achievement of sustainable development goals.
To assist students and families in dealing with problems affecting their achievement through specialized professional and therapeutic services, and to develop students ' skills through the provision of specialized and differentiated training services and courses.
