Interdisciplinary Research Centre

About the Centre

In line with Egypt's Vision 2030, which aims to enhance the investment in human capital and build their creative capacities by encouraging increased knowledge, innovation, and scientific research in all fields, Helwan University established the Interdisciplinary Research Centre by decision of the Supreme Council of Universities in August 2021. The Centre serves as a strategic entity supporting the graduate studies and scientific research sector. Its mission is to promote interdisciplinary research and build a base of specialists and researchers in the field of interdisciplinary research from within Helwan University's faculty members. The goal is to create the capacity to produce interdisciplinary knowledge by supporting interdisciplinary research practices.

Vision

To be a leader in attracting talent and providing a stimulating research environment to produce innovative interdisciplinary research with applications that serve various sectors of society locally, regionally, and internationally.

Mission

To provide a stimulating environment for researchers from various disciplines to produce interdisciplinary research that meets the needs of various sectors of society and opens new horizons for cooperation with local and international entities.

Centre Objectives

  •   To spread the culture of interdisciplinary research among faculty members     at Helwan University.
  •  To study contemporary trends in interdisciplinary research. - Encouraging the establishment of interdisciplinary research groups among faculty members at Helwan University.
  •  Providing scientific and technical support to researchers to achieve efficiency in producing joint interdisciplinary research.
  •  Promoting scientific research and its outcomes toward practical benefits for the university and society.
  •  Increasing the number of published international interdisciplinary research to raise Helwan University's standing in international rankings.
