About the compound.

In keeping with its continued commitment to technology-based development, the University of Hilwan has attached the utmost importance to the scientific research sector, which is an essential part of the National Strategic Plan 2020 and, by extension, is an essential element and supporter of the Strategic Plan of Jamaica and has strengthened its active role in achieving overall growth in the surrounding environment, locally, regionally and even globally, aimed at developing and strengthening research areas affecting society.

The University ' s complex of creativity and scientific research was established by decision of the Council of the University and is one of the University ' s entities in scientific research. The university ' s direct members are Mr. Dr. Vice-President of the University for Higher Studies and Research and is based on the campus (University of Helwan).

Objectives of the complex:

  • 1.Link and manage a compilation of scientific research and innovations at the University to improve the environment for scientific research and advancement with its outputs and to the problems of society and industry.
    2.Support for an integrated, advanced and pioneering system to lead and strengthen scientific research at the University as an example to the rest of the universities
    3.Maximizing the use of research centres, projects and laboratories at the University with its equipment and trained human staff
    4.Support the implementation of the University ' s plans and foster the thinking of local, regional and international research groups.
    5.Facilitate the networking of research centres and stakeholders in support of multidisciplinary research plans.
    6.To propose the needs of the University with centres and units of a special nature in the field of scientific research.
  • 1.Provision of supporting information to senior management decision makers in support of a well-established strategy for financing scientific equipment, operating and maintenance instructions or replacement and opening up new horizons and specializations.
    2.Develop mechanisms for a comprehensive inventory of the human, practical and logistical research potential that already exists at the University, research centres and colleges to enhance the competitiveness of scientific research and innovation at the University.
    3.To promote a culture of and support for cross-disciplinary research and technical advice required from outside authorities to deal fully with the problems of engineering, technical and commercial...Blah, blah, blah, blah.
    4.Organize, disseminate and facilitate the provision of outstanding research services from UNU and the State to improve utilization.
    5.To promote sustainable development projects both internally and externally and to provide future visions supported by measurements and to strengthen the means of implementing the University ' s research plans within the framework of the General Strategy for Scientific Research of Egypt.

Executive structure:

Based on the regulations governing the operations of the complex, the Director of the Innovation and Scientific Research Complex is responsible for forming the executive team of the complex from university faculty members to collaborate in managing the complex's operations.

Scientific research platform

Processing and launching of the scientific research platform with its second experimental version of the link  https://sgc.helwan.edu.eg/hub/Project_Reportlist.asp  It contains 14 centres that cover all their funds related to scientific research. They reflect a unified and integrated research map of all the possibilities for scientific research, whether logistical, infrastructure or expertise, and the outputs that it has produced. The complex has developed an organization to make it available to all researchers and to make use of it at all levels, from the researcher to the college, up to the university, in preparation for its dissemination in order to serve the entire State and decision makers. The complex has developed a well-established model for its management.
