Capital University Prepares to Open New Halls and the Museum Display of the Contemporary Art Museum

Capital University, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Qandil, and the Arts and Culture Complex, supervised by Prof. Dr. Ashraf Reda, Executive Director of the Complex, are preparing to inaugurate the new halls and the museum display of the Contemporary Art Museum during the last week of December 2025.

The museum houses nearly 150 diverse artworks, including painting, drawing, graphic art, sculpture, and ceramics, presented by 128 artists representing multiple generations and artistic schools. This reflects the richness and diversity of the contemporary visual art scene in Egypt.

This inauguration comes as part of Capital University’s strategy to support visual arts and document the plastic arts movement, by providing an interactive cultural and educational platform that contributes to enhancing artistic awareness and strengthening the role of the arts in society.

The museum exhibition scenario was prepared by art critic Mohamed Ibrahim Tawfik, who developed a visual and intellectual concept that offers visitors a comprehensive viewing experience, based on a dialogue between the artworks and the space, and an artistic sequence that highlights the aesthetic and intellectual values of the participating works.

The museum and its new halls are expected to represent a qualitative addition to the Egyptian cultural scene, and to become an important destination for artists, researchers, and the public, reflecting a contemporary vision of the role of museums as dynamic spaces for dialogue and creativity.
