On the occasion of International Literacy Day, Helwan University reaffirms its strong commitment to its national role in building the Egyptian individual, based on its educational and societal mission that places literacy at the top of its priorities.

The leadership, professors, and students of the university firmly believe that education is the cornerstone of achieving sustainable development, and that literacy is not just a goal but a national and humanitarian duty. From this standpoint, Helwan University has actively participated in the national project to eliminate illiteracy, helping thousands of citizens break free from illiteracy through the efforts of its students and community initiatives, in fruitful cooperation with the General Authority for Adult Education.

At Helwan University, we believe that building an educated society is the path to a brighter future, and that every letter written is a step toward empowerment, awareness, and peace. On this occasion, we salute everyone who has contributed to these noble efforts and call on all to continue working for illiteracy-free Egypt.
