Helwan University Wins Gold in the “Best University for Student Activities” Competition

Once again, Helwan University proves that it knows no limits and that investing in its students is the secret to its success. The university won Gold in the Best University for Student Activities Competition among Egyptian universities, reaffirming its excellence and competitive edge in all arenas. This victory did not come by chance. It is the result of early planning, meticulous preparation, and a strong belief that student activities are an essential part of shaping fully-developed personalities of university students.
Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University, expressed great pride in this achievement, emphasizing that winning gold reflects the true image of Helwan University, an esteemed institution with a long-standing legacy and a clear vision that places students at the core of its priorities. He noted that this accomplishment was not a fleeting event but the result of institutional efforts and strategic planning that have made Helwan University a comprehensive model in the field of student activities. It sends a clear message that the university is always capable of excelling and securing top positions, maintaining its place at the forefront of Egypt’s leading educational institutions.
Dr. Hossam Refai, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, stated that this award is the culmination of integrated efforts made by the university to support student activities. He pointed out that what Helwan University do in this field is not merely seasonal events but a solid, ongoing system that instills values of belonging, hones students’ skills, and opens pathways to excellence, so students become proud representatives of the university both within and beyond campus.
This major achievement came as the result of close supervision by Dr. Ahmed Aliq, Advisor to the University President for Student Activities, who developed a comprehensive plan from the very beginning and oversaw all stages of participation to ensure a representation worthy of the status of Helwan University.
This success could not have been achieved without the general supervision and ongoing support from Major General Mohamed Abu Shaqa, Secretary General of the University, and Mr. Hesham Refaat, Assistant Secretary-General for Education and Student Affairs.
