#Helwan_University Participates in the Launch of the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2025

Helwan University took part in the launch of the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2025, inaugurated by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, alongside the EU Regional Director in Egypt.
The program aims to raise awareness among stakeholders, researchers, and Egyptian innovators about new cooperation and funding opportunities available through the European Union’s Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation.
This participation aligns with Helwan University’s commitment to supporting scientific research and innovation, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, President of the University.

The Horizon Europe event was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the European Union Delegation to Egypt, and several entities in the fields of scientific research and technology.
This program is part of efforts to activate international cooperation mechanisms aimed at enhancing the higher education and scientific research ecosystem. Horizon Europe 2025 opens the door to new and expanded opportunities for collaboration.
The Horizon Europe 2025 program represents a significant step in strengthening research cooperation between Egypt and the European Union, aiming to support innovation and scientific research in various fields such as energy, water, agriculture, health, digital education, food, and biotechnology.
On the sidelines of the event, several specialized workshops were held to showcase available funding opportunities and research–industry partnerships within the program. These workshops highlighted mechanisms for supporting research projects and potential loan offerings for projects that deliver research-based products serving industry or agriculture, thereby enhancing the global competitiveness of Egyptian researchers.
