Preparatory Meeting to Discuss Final Preparations for Helwan University’s Golden Jubilee Celebration

Capital University (formerly Helwan University), under the leadership of Dr. El-Sayed Qandil, held a preparatory meeting to review and follow up on the latest preparations for organizing Helwan University’s Golden Jubilee celebration, in line with the university’s commitment to presenting the event in a manner befitting its long-standing history and academic and scientific stature.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Ashraf Reda, Advisor to the University President and Executive Director of the Arts and Culture Complex, and was attended by Dr. Mahmoud Hamed, Executive Director of Helwan University Company for Educational Services Support; Dr. Omnia Yehia, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts; Dr. Ahmed Farouk, Executive Director of Helwan University Club; Dr. Sameh Gamal, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels; Dr. Mohamed Abdel Qader, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Music Education; and Dr. Sara El-Beily, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences. Also present were representatives of the General Administration of Public Relations and Media, the Office of the University President, the Arts and Culture Complex, and the media team “Helwan Plus,” as part of coordination and integration among all concerned entities to ensure the success of this historic occasion.

The meeting reviewed and discussed the main themes of the documentary book of Helwan University, which chronicles the university’s journey since its establishment, as well as the general program of the celebration and its various planned activities.

Discussions also covered the coordination of artistic, musical, and performance shows to be presented during the celebration, with the participation of the Faculties of Music Education and Sports Sciences (Women), reflecting the university’s excellence in artistic and athletic fields and highlighting students’ talents and creative abilities. The meeting further addressed preparations for a documentary film about Helwan University, showcasing its rich history, achievements, and prominent figures and influential leaders among its graduates in various fields, in addition to the specially produced song “50 Years of Helwan University.”

The proposed media plan for covering the Golden Jubilee events before, during, and after the celebration was also discussed, ensuring optimal coverage of the event across various media platforms.

Participants emphasized the importance of teamwork and the integration of efforts among all faculties, sectors, and administrative units to deliver a celebration worthy of Helwan University’s status, reflecting its long-standing journey and leadership within the higher education system.

It is worth noting that Helwan University is one of Egypt’s leading public universities, established in 1975.
