Since the university's mission is not only to graduate human cadres capable of serving the country, it extends to the care of their graduates and the establishment of continuous links with the university, and to that end, the university has established the Department of Alumni Service.The administration is in the community service and environmental development sector. Under the chairmanship of Prof.Dr. Maged Mohamed Fahmy is the university's vice president for community service and environmental development.

The Department was established in October 2008 with the approval of Prof.Dr. The president of the university is the director of Mrs. Maha Abdul Rahim Younis.

The Department undertakes the following activities:

Create a complete database of university graduates and electronically contact them.
Collect data from the first batches of university colleges because they're most caring.
Establishment of complete databases on many companies and hotels in the Arab Republic of Egypt to open channels of communication between graduates and companies by establishing good public relations with companies, factories and schools and demonstrating the different skills of the graduates of the University of Hilwan.
To recommend various training courses in both language and computer programmes in cooperation with the General Directorate of Management and Administration.
An electronic magazine that includes university news, activities and distinguished graduates.
Contact with active members of each Knawah College to establish an association of graduates of Helwan University from these students after they graduate from the university.
Contact and coordinate with external members of the University Council and College Councils who are hired from companies to serve students.
Production of leaflets or brochures containing existing disciplines and vacant posts.It's the employment bulletin attached to the website.
