Military Education

Military education is an essential part of the study, in accordance with the Military Education Act, Act No. 46 of 1973, which was approved by the People's Assembly of Sunday, 6 May 1973, and which reads: "Article 1 - Military education is a basic subject of study at the secondary and higher levels of education for students of Egyptian nationality."


The aim of military education is to raise generations of young people who are eligible for military service, in accordance with article 2 of the Code of Military Education: "The aim of the military education system is to develop military awareness among students at the secondary and higher levels of education in order to ensure the upbringing of generations of young people who are eligible for military service upon their entry into military service, to perform military service upon entry into military service and to perform national duties during the war or national services, as determined by a decision of the Minister of War."

The subject of military education is a basic subject that no student may graduate from university without passing it, including students (regularization, open education).

Students of the university from the children of the governorates outside Cairo who wish to transfer for the military education course in the universities near their governorates may also transfer the same registration papers as the above-mentioned ones, in addition to a letter from the University ' s Office of Military Education to which they are intended, provided that the student ' s national number card is on the same address as the governorate to which it is intended.

In the cases of exemption of students from military education, they are: non-Egyptian students "foreigners," students over 35 years of age, students who have served the military in the armed forces, as well as students with illnesses, according to the following parameters: "Neuro-deficiency disabilities, polio cases, loss of sight" in whole or in one eye, chronic diseases that have caused chronic disability, chronic infectious diseases (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).Cases of amputation of a party, medical exemptions are decided by decision of the medical associations "of the College - Higher Institute" or the competent medical department "Eternate/Doctor of the Institute or College" with a separate report on each student and the reasons for the exemption sealed with the stamp adopted by the Ministry of Education and the Higher Council of Universities (for the Faculty-Institute)
